No information is available on this book, however based on it's title and the description of The Cruise of the Comet it is presumably based on the real-life letters written by Stephen Burton, a boy who not only served aboard privateers, but was also the nephew of Captain Thomas Boyle, one of the most famous American privateers. I assume that as Chasseur was a Baltimore clipper commanded by Boyle this book is about those voyages.
