Visitor, this is your update newsletter from August 2011 Last month I was privileged to get interviews with Richard Woodman on the launch of his new novel 'A Ship for the King', M. Kei author of the Pirates of the Narrow Seas series and with Chris Scott Wilson author of 'Scarborough Fair'. There is only one naval fiction release in the US this month along with non fiction and Pirate fiction releases. Brief information is given below with links to the full website articles. |

Each month I provide a short bio of one of the authors on the site. This month we will look at David Poyer. David Poyer's military career included service in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Arctic, Caribbean, Persian Gulf, and Pacific. He lives on Eastern Shore of Virginia with his wife and their daughter, with whom he explores the Bay and Atlantic coast in their sloop, Water Spirit. Today he is mainly known as the author of the modern naval fiction series about Dan Lenson but he also wrote a series about the American Civil War at sea. |
