Lieutenant-Commander Donald Cameron of the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve is puzzled. Why has he been given command of the light cruiser Castile when the post would normally go to a captain in the regular navy? Is it just coincidence that everyone on the Castile seems to have some previous connection with the ship?
