Featured Author

Each month I provide a short bio of one of the authors on the site. This month we will look at Charles Rathbone Low

Charles Rathbone Low FRGS (1837-1918) served as a Lieutentant in the Indian Navy. He published respected factual works, particularly his History of the Indian Navy (1613-1863), and co-authored at least one work with W.H.G. Kingston. Three of his books are Historical Naval Fiction.

One of these The Autobiography of a Man-o'-War's Bell is unusual as it is the story of the life of Ville de Paris, flagship of the Comte de Grasse, written from the point of view of the ships bell and a books from the French point of view are rare.
