Featured Author

Each month I will provide a short bio of one of the authors on the site. This months we will look at Alaric Bond.

Alaric BondAlaric Bond is one of the new talents in naval fiction.

He was born in Surrey and is the son of Geoffrey Bond a well known writer of novels and biographies as well as several screenplays, contributions to BBC Radio drama (including Mrs Dale’s Diary!) and "Luck of the Legion" for the Eagle comic.

Alaric has been writing professionally for over twenty years with work covering broadcast comedy (commissioned to BBC Light Entertainment for 3 years), periodicals, children's stories, television and the stage. He is also a regular contributor to nautical magazines and newsletters.

His 'Fighting Sail' series of books, the latest of which True Colours was recently released, features several principal characters, including Midshipman Thomas King and a seaman named Flint, and is intended to differ from others in that it will not follow one principal character throughout his career.
