S. N. Timiryov

Rear-Admiral Sergey Nikolayevich Timiryov (1875-1932) was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He trained with many of the key figures and shared battle experience with them in the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-05 and the siege of Port Arthur. He spent a year as a prisoner of war in Japan and also served as Executive Officer on the imperial yacht Shtandart.

During the First World War Timiryov served in the Baltic Fleet. He died in Shanghai, China.
