Stuart Buxton

Stuart Buxton, until now, has been known for marketing communications from blue-chip technology names like Dell, Panasonic and Verizon. With the launch of 'Five Flags: The Warship That Reshaped the World', he turns his gaze on an extraordinary period of history, as a single warship, serving under seven names and five flags, fought its way through the birth of the modern Germany, American and Japan.

"I spent years searching for a way to bring these nations' defining civil wars to life. Once I discovered the single vessel that connected them all, the title began to flow. It was all there. Presidents and spies. Emperors and diplomats. Shoguns and admirals. The turning points from sail to steam, wood to iron and swords to cannon. I've had a great experience with the team from Roman & Littlefield and am thrilled her story is finally being told."

A noted Sydney-based technology and cloud industry speaker, Stuart loves to engage with book clubs, historical societies and events to share the story.

When not writing, Stuart enjoys reading, of course, travel, cooking and punk rock, all of which inspire his work.
