Sarah Jean Waldock grew up on 'Swallows and Amazons' and graduated to 'Hornblower', 'Ramage','Halfhyde' and the like so needing to write a Naval adventure was almost inevitable. The Napoleonic War era attracts her most, being interested in the whole period of the long Regency.
