Vincent S. Gehring (1980- ) grew up in Northern Germany. He studied life sciences and holds a PhD in biomedical research.
His love of historical fiction began early, rooted in a fascination with both the past and the future, reading Bernard Cornwell’s Making of England Chronicles alongside classic science fiction, and later discovering the sea-bound world through C.S. Forester’s Hornblower series, amongst many others, which left a lasting mark and inspired many ideas for new stories.
