One Of Our Warships

Will Freddie release the demons from HMS Pandora’s box of secrets…?

Far Eastern Waters, 1975

The frigate Pandora had been named after the mysterious box of Greek mythology. The name was apt for the ship contained the explosive and shocking secrets of its Commander, James Bellingham.

When the Commander arrived home from a long commission in the Far East, he was met by Freddie, his oldest and best friend in the Navy. Freddie immediately knew something was wrong — badly wrong.

Deeply and professionally jealous of Bellingham, and continuing his adolescent lust for his friends wife, Freddie set out to expose the truth.

Stuck on board a long flight home from a naval conference in Singapore and about to retire from service, Freddie recounts his investigations into the Pandora incident to his eager listeners.

Was Bellingham really guilty of a war crime as a result of his actions in those remote and dangerous waters? Had he brought dishonour on the service?

Freddie must tussle with love and loyalty to find out the answers…
