1798 1798, Portsmouth, home of the Royal Navy. Giles Courtenay is about to take command of a new, powerful frigate. After narrowly escaping an attempt on his life, he takes command and proceeds to blockade duty off France before being ordered to effect the rescue of an important official and his daughter from the Spanish.
